From May 22 to 23, 2024, experts from the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) conducted a workshop in Machakos, Kenya. Invited by the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21), the workshop, titled "Innovative SDG Monitoring: Integrating Earth Observation Data with Official Statistics," drew enthusiastic participation from statisticians and GIS professionals representing various key institutions, including the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), the Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Climate Change and Forestry.

The opening ceremony of the 2023 International Training Workshop on BeiDou Technologies and Applications in the Belt and Road Countries and Regions was unveiled in Beijing on September 12, 2023, attended by nearly 30 students from Yemen, Algeria, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, Pakistan, etc.

The 3rd International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS 2023) opened in Beijing on September 6, 2023, attracting more than 500 experts, scholars, government administrators, entrepreneurs, engineers and other stakeholders from nearly 50 countries to discuss the role of big data in promoting global sustainable development transformation, and the ways to accelerate the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The 7th Digital Belt and Road Conference concluded in Beijing on September 6, 2023. The three-day event brought together about 250 experts from some 20 countries to explore utilizing digital technologies to facilitate the sustainable development of the Belt and Road region.

The “Regional Training Workshop for Satellite Crop Monitoring using the CropWatch System” was held in Mauritius on 7-10 August, 2023. It was jointly hosted by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

On May 24, 2024, four experts from the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) visited Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and the Sino-Africa Joint Research Center (SAJOREC) in Kenya. Together with SAJOREC, they hosted a workshop titled "Remote Sensing Applications for Hydrology, Water Resources, and Climate Change," focusing on remote sensing technology for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over 40 experts and students from SAJOREC and JKUAT participated.
