China Hands over Zimbabwe's Arable Land Distribution Data in Scientific Research Cooperation
HARARE, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) handed over an arable land distribution data product here on Thursday to Zimbabwe, as the two countries are strengthening scientific cooperation to boost food security in the southern African country.The product, co-developed by the CAS, China's top scientific and technological institution, and the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), contains high-precision data which will help Zimbabwe address challenges of agriculture productivity and climate change.

LUSAKA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) handed over a high-definition cropland distribution dataset to Zambia on Thursday, aiming to help the southern African nation develop its agriculture sector.The Zambia National Fine Resolution Cropland Data Layer provides nationwide close to real-time cropland data and up to a 10-meter resolution ratio, according to CAS.

The 4th annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum) was held at the UN Headquarters in New York from May 14 to 15. The theme of the STI Forum 2019 was “STI for ensuring inclusiveness and equality,” with a special focus on SDGs 4, 8, 10, 13, and 16. Nearly a thousand participants from over 50 countries and international organizations attended the forum.

China to Launch International Journal on Satellite Navigation
BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) --- China will launch an international English journal called "Satellite Navigation," according to the China Science Daily Thursday.The journal is coordinated by the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Springer Nature. The journal is open to submission and is expected to be published officially in October. The journal will be published in an open-access format and can be obtained free of charge once published.
