On May 30, 2021, the "international carbon satellite observation data analysis cooperation program" (CASA) phase II implementation plan and spring academic seminar organized by the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in the form of "online + offline" in Beijing.

The "Pan-Antarctic Ecology and Environmental Spatial Observation and Three-Pole Comparative Study", an international cooperation program supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was launched on April 28 in the form of an on-line workshop.

An online Workshop on the Application of CropWatch for Agricultural Monitoring in Nigeria was held on 25 May, 2021. It was jointly hosted by the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) of Nigeria.

An online seminar, organized by the International Centre on Space Technologies for Natural and Cultural Heritage under the Auspices of UNESCO (hereafter called HIST), was held in Beijing on March 16 to explore how to use cutting-edge technologies to promote sustainable development of UNESCO-designated sites. The event was held both online and offline, attracting more than 240,000 online attendees.

AOGEO (Asia-Oceania GEO) TG7 Environmental Monitoring and Protection Online Workshop was held in Beijing on February 24, 2021. The event was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science and the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS).

A cooperative research on high-precision navigation and positioning technology for urban intelligent transportation was jointly carried out by the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), together with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) of Thailand, with the support of CAS International Partnership Program.
