Project on Remote Sensing and Modeling of Snow and Ice Physical Process Kicks off
September 30, 2022
On September 13, 2022, the kickoff meeting for the joint research project on Remote Sensing and Modeling of Snow and Ice Physical Process was held online. More than 10 scientists from International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS), Aerospace Information Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIR-CAS) and the Finish Meteorological Institute (FMI) join the meeting.
The research scientists exchanged the recent development, including the observation plans, development of atmospheric correction method for remote sensing of snow, the forest impact model in snow rich area, and remote sensing of river ice, etc. Then teams discussed about the cooperative observations, joint publication, and mutual visits. The project is the jointly supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Academy of Finland.
