On November 3, 2022, Scientific Reports published a research paper entitled "Active water management brings reliability restore to degraded lakes in dry regions: a case study of Lop Nur, China", which introduced the scientific discovery of rebirth code for Lop Nur. AIR Lofts Heavy Payload Balloon into Near-space Height

A high-altitude scientific balloon containing 1.2-ton payloads was lifted into the sky and reached an altitude of 30km in a demonstration test that helped validate the payload capacity of a near-space platform.

Chinese Satellite In-flight Calibration Research Approved by World Meteorological Organization

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reported in its GSICS Quarterly Newsletter (Volume 16, No. 2, 2022) the research of the in-flight radiometric calibration of Chinese wide field of view (FOV) Directional Polarimetric Camera (DPC) on-board GF5 and GF5-02 series satellites based on Rayleigh scattering method, which was carried out by a research team led by Prof. LI Zhengqiang from the National Engineering Laboratory for Satellite Remote Sensing Applications under the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
