International Training Workshop on BDS Technology and Applications Held in Beijing
The opening ceremony of the International Training Workshop on BDS Technology and Applications in Belt and Road Countries was held in Beijing on 8 September 2020, which was attended online and offline by the embassy representatives from the Thailand, Belgium, and Ukraine, over 40 trainees from Nepal, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Pakistan, Bhutan, Mongolia, as well as Chinese representatives from relevant research institutions and companies.
It is the third time that the workshop as a series was held consecutively to promote connection between BDS technologies and industries, and to boost BDS global service by providing training courses on the application of BDS-based navigation and positioning technologies, and talent training for the overseas insiders.
From September 7 to 20, both online and offline, the workshop provided students with systematic training on the BDS technology and applications, a visit to BDS-related companies, as well as a culture tour in Beijing.
The training workshop, under the support of China Satellite Navigation Office and International Liaison Department of China Association for Science and Technology, is jointly organized by AIR, CAS Bureau of International Cooperation, and Academic Exchange Center of China Satellite Navigation Office.
